Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been a model, actor and animal rights advocate in the US. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most well-known films. She grew up in an artistic family from New York and wanted to take up a profession in the field of arts. Her first job was as a photo assistant then turned to acting and modeling. MacGraw was noticed in two of her films and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most promising Newcomer. MacGraw became a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was considered for nomination to an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. After only three movies, MacGraw was named the top female box-office debut worldwide. Her handprints as well as her signature were inscribed at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Some of the films she's been in include The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw has married thrice.
