Zoe-perry
Perry was born on the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as seen by flashback) her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. The parents of her didn't want her to perform until she turned an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry was shy during high school and was not a performer. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends when she transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University moved into New York in search of television roles. Perry was able to land small roles on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homelessness led her to California in search of theater jobs. Perry was a part of Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. Her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer prize-winning film Anna Christie with her in 2015. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. In 2017, Perry had a role on ABC's political thriller Scandal along with her father. She played the younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off show that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was another younger portrayal of her mother. The role was selected via auditions though she had a close association with it.
